some new pieces

With commissions being pretty slow now, I thought I would finally get round to sorting my gallery out...

2 weeks work and one's already torn!

It's booked!!!

Our accomodation is finally booked for sunny LA, now roll on June!

We arrive in Laalaa land on the 11th, straight to Glendale for a week. We'll probably do all the sightseeing within that week. I know our friend is taking us to see the Queen Mary docked in Long Beach. He's going to take us on the haunted tour, should be fun!..better take a pair of clean trousers just in case....

Then from Glendale we are hoping to spend some time Lois's for 3 nights then we move onto Palm Springs for 5 days, looking forward to that big time, our hotel looks splendid it looks like something that should have been built in Vegas, well it does have a casino too. Its called the Spa Resort Casino..enough said! We got it unbelievably cheap and it come highly rated too.

Lois said we couldnt really do much during the day at PS due to the heat, it's the Californian desert so everybody chills in the daytime and wakes up at night, the shops and restaurants are open till late and the place is bustling with people. I would like to go horseback riding one evening, or day depending if we can stand the heat. I think Mum would like a trip up the mountains in one of those cablecars, she loves the view, I'm not to sure about the travel up there though, that height would kill me!!

From PS we come back and land in Marina Del Rey, one of the nicer parts of Santa Monica according to Lois, it came recommended anyway and the hotels looked pretty reasonable. That gives us time to chill by the beach, Mum's thing not really mine haha..I can spend a couple of hours there then get fed up! But you never know this may be what I need...

All these things that I've done...

I've hardly had time to keep track of this thing..god I'm a terrible Blogger!

Well it's not long now before we go back to beautiful LA..roll on June, it's cannot come quick enough for me. We've had such a busy time these past few weeks, it seems to be one thing after another. First of all our car decided to pop it's clogs (sort of) it needed a new starter motor. Just typical it was me driving to work having to pick mum up that afternoon when I finished, switched on the ignition and...*nothing* not even a buzz...I kicked it, punched it, screamed at it (as if that did much good?- well I was seriously stressed out by this time), but in the end it won so I just left it there, got a taxi, picked mum up on the way then, once home we were straight on the phone to the insurance company. Luckily we were covered for break down so they sent out a guy to help, the next day I took it poorly sick to get fixed. And it's chirping up well so far! *touches wood*

Now where do I start with Dan, he car was on the red too and really on the red. It failed it MOT miserably and is gonna cost an absolute fortune to fix..seems well when he has no money so my folks are having to dip into their savings again! They gave Dan a few pointers as to what he is doing wrong and where he needs help. But can't say anymore..basically he is staying there to make it work, get a job and that he loves her. At least Mum is pleased he's finally made a decision..now lets see what comes of it!

Havn't had much time to catch up with my girls recently, not much cash due to our summer trip. Saving every penny, this economy gets worse and worse! Commissions are pretty slow too, I'm using the time to spend on my gallery wall, I'm tired of looking at the same portraits and I'm pretty sure they're tired just sitting there! LOL

Re our little trip, we are hopefully going to book something these next 2 weeks, I wanna get the first week booked so at least we know where we will be going! Palm Springs is a definate YES! Some gorgeous places there and fairly reasonable too! I can't wait, just time away will do me and mum good, poor Dad has to percy-sit, don't think he's too bothered though....just as well! Cause we arn't either haha! Cruel eh??

a crippling blow...

Well where do I begin, everything has been ridiculous lately pretty pointless to say the least. I've had a rough few days having not spoken to my girlfriends for several weeks hasn't helped. Not sure what I've done either. Rachel is still good just busy I guess, like me but we did try and arrange a get together a week or so back but nothing yet...my other girl Sam I havn't heard from in ages. We had a night out together, met up with a friend (well sort of) didn't really care for him much, then all of a sudden she was gone when we called her she was on the motorway heading to Colne..very strange as I havn't heard from her since. Just hope she was ok...

Dan's also been awkward lately, I took his girl off facebook yonks ago because of the situation between us, what she's done and said etc..I need not go into detail about it. Then she wonders why and gets Dan to call me asking why I had done it! If she has a problem then she should bloody well call me and don't get Dan to do the dirty work..she's supposed to be how old!? My Dad gave Dan a fairly hard lecture, but in all honesty it was needed as he is too soft. The fact that he called didn't really bother me it's the fact that she is nitpicking AGAIN! It's not the first time she's done this and it might not even be the last...I explained to my parents that that is IT! Between me and Hayley, I have absolutely no interest whatsoever in getting to know her now. I tried a few weeks back to be civilised but she's obviously not that civilised herself. It seems all she wants to do is wedge a gap between Dan and I, because we are so close. She has one serious problem! But Dan has to make his mind up now what is best for him...I'm just sick to death of being involved in their relationship when I shouldn't be. I'm not taking it anymore and he knows that now!

Another knockback came the other day too when the Mecure Hotel decided that due to this credit crunch they would have to put the big commission on hold until an improvement shows in the economy..I've had my first bite in business with the way things are today. A friend told me this day and age isn't a recession, it's a depression..I'm beginning to think he's right!
