Stan went home!

Another nice mess..er..day in Ulverston. The unveiling of the towns statue of the boys was a marvelous event. The sunshine couldnt have been better and the turnout was very plentiful. We decided to leave early to avoid the traffic and to get a good site, we picked Grandma up on the way, left Granda at home he's 75 and doesn't like crowds!

The festivities started at around 1pm and lasted till 5, they had a duo act Haurel and Lardy which were delightfully suprising. I didn't think I would like as many duo's just copy their dialogue from the films- these guys were pro entertainers! They were magicians and comedians rolled into one (sound like Tommy Cooper eh?) but there was two of them.

Ken Dodd arrived around late in the afternoon riding in the back of H&L 1924 Model T Ford, waving his tickling sticks to the crowds. We had a very clear view from where we were stood just a handshake away from us and he came right past us and greeted the fans. Dispite the fact he is 81 years old he looks great! He even waved and danced on the balcony of Coronation Hall with H&L and the mayoress. What a delight he was!

Speech time...then VIOLA!!!!!

a little piece...(of me)

Don't think this is really studio sessions quality..I need to check out those pro photographers

on the move

All is pretty quiet on the work front, giving me time to sort out my gallery, it takes so long though- first I've to sort out the ideal picture to copy from then deciding whether to do it in colour or black and white, then finally getting my head down to do it! Hope I can squeeze a few more commissions in before our trip to L.A it's only 7 weeks away!..

There is plenty to look forward to in the meantime, I managed to book another art group in May for extra cash, I'm giving a promotion at work so that should entice people and I'm contacting stately homes around the UK. Hope all this hard work is not in vain! When is this economy gonna pick itself up again!! Think GB and other world leaders need a kick up the deriere!

Dave and Emma are moving today, its gonna be a big change for them but hopefully for the best, seems like everyone I know and love are moving on and away..to be honest wish I was too. I've seriously been thinking about my career lately, yeah sure I love what I do but sometimes it's just not reliable it's not a steady flow of cash and like somebody told me recently you cannot live on love alone. God those words make so much sense..I think I need to get better aquainted with my old brain, we both need a serious think about what we are gonna do.....

a healthy mind..a healthy body

With only a few weeks before we head off to glorious L.A, I decided a while ago to try and keep a healthy body. I knew myself I wasn't drinking enough water, I could live of coca-cola! My skin was in a pretty bad way and I just felt slugish and podgy all the time. So Mum and Dad go shopping and come with a britta filter water container. I had already tried some at Emma's ages ago and to be honest, loved it! It gave the water a much smoother and purer taste. And I have drunk almost nothing else since!

I feel so good, I've shaken off a few pounds and my skin is getting better and better..just as well if I wanna still make something of modelling.

With regards to the modelling, I havn't really done anything about it yet, I wouldn't mind Dad taking a few snaps (he is a avid photographer) I havn't spoken to him about it yet, but would like it to take off soon...
