model behaviour...

Well work is going just swell, they keep messing up my paychecques though, not that I'm complaining it actually works in my interest..haha
For some time I been thinking about modelling, many people have said to me how photogenic I am *blushes*..so I figured maybe I should give it a go. At present I am trying to shake a little weight off. My best friend suggested that I should model for a lingerie company called Bravissimo which happens to be where I buy all my underwear! Bra's especially...I know they were taking on model customers so maybe it's worth writing to them, after the weight has vanished, asking how I go about modelling for them. In the meantime here's some more basic pictures, it's not studio sessions but you get the idea!.....

timeout!

The house is quiet now, everyone is in bed but I can't sleep. I've been having trouble lately, don't think it's anything major it's minor little things that will sort themselves out eventually but for the time being...*sigh*....I've got to put up with them. You're probably wondering what the hell I'm talking about!

Everything has just seemed to have happened at once....

First of all Dan came home last Saturday for his passport, we thought he was on the run HA! But he, his girl and her child had booked a day trip to Calais on the Monday it only came to him that he needed his passport that day. Still it was great to see him and we even managed to have a real good chat with him despite the fact Hayley's 8 year old was there. We took it in turns to speak to him well apart from poor Dad who was keeping Jake entertained, jeez he was hard work! Dan looked very thin and explained to us what life was like down there and to be perfectly honest it was what we were all waiting to hear, that's things wern't all rosy and lovey dovey. Don't think that we want him to be unhappy and get on with his life infact I admire him for going and giving it a try, non of us would ever throw it back in his face by saying 'I told you so' should he come home...I think I will so that's why I'm not worried about him anymore, don't get me wrong I still think about him greatly but his situation doesn't worry me no more because I know he will do the right thing..even if it has taken him 4 months!

What does a couple have if they don't have love and trust right? They ain't got nothing..and this is exactly how Dan is feeling right now. We've told him so many times but you can't tell him. A man has to figure that out for himself, LOVE IS BLIND!

dreams..

I didn't really wanna upload any pictures in this post, I just wanted to write.

The past few days have been pretty tough on all of us. It's funny I had a couple of consecutive dreams about Dan and his girlfriend, really odd ones too. A day or so later people were constantly asking how he was and having not thought about him for a while it was almost as if something was going to happen...well it did and not slowly either.

Dan has been there over 3 months now and still no luck with the job situation, things have happened since that are too personal to mention here, even though it's my own bloody blog!

Well basically we've asked him to come home to sort himself out, and that's giving him something to think about big time!

only human

Another night well spent with my best girl, Rachel. Saturday was a reall buzz because one I got more commissions, woooo! And secondly I hadn't seen Rachel for a good while so partying with her was the only excuse to get together, and a damm good excuse it was. What a top night. hadn't had a night with her like that for ages. We spent ages catching up talking about everything and nothing.

She gets married next year, can't believe it's nearly a year ago since I took her and her Mother out wedding dress planning. I expect we'll be doing it again pretty soon...

our dear friend

I promised a special Christmas present to Frank and Helen (aka my 2nd parents) and I was pleased to say it arrived this morning from our dear friend Lois (aka Stan Laurel's daughter)..lol

I had no idea which picture she would be signing for them, I also asked one for my grandparents. Gran being a huge fan of Laurel and Hardy since she was a kid. She would tell me of many happy memories of her mother dragging her to the local cinema just because the boys were playing, what would my great grandmother think now if she knew I spoke to Stan's daughter on a regular basis and are planning to see her again for the 3rd time this year? I can't imagine...

Where life takes you is incredible, since I was put in touch with Lois almost 3 years ago I would never have dreamed about seeing America, let alone Los Angeles. And now we have been twice and are returning in June is just unbelievable, what an amazing city. But what an amazing person that has enriched our lives so much, I always look forward to talking her on the phone. My family has also been touched by her grace, humour and sweet nature. My mother especially as she came with me on all trips.

So here is to my special little friend all the way across that very large pond...we will see you in June!

percy

Look who decided to cuddle up on the sofa the other night..our little Percy Poo! He's so tame now. Who ever heard of a guinea pig who eats porridge, chocolate, twister lollies, jelly and drinks milk?!...well this one does!

lovable....

Viola...finito!
My 2nd attempt at colour (not quite complete but you get the idea) ...impressive no?

starting anew...

My new set of pastel pencils came the other day and I must say I was a little overwhelmed by their texture and choice of colours. They are specifically manufactured for portraits..can't be too hard then! I spent the past two days working on a colour portrait of a golden retriever dog and can't believe how impressive it looks!

I never thought colour would be my thing, it probably never will be having worked in black and white for so many years- and think it's looks best for portraits anyway, so much clearer. But nonetheless I was willing to give it a good shot and am very pleased with the outcome. Hopefully this will interest more customers in the long term. I've noticed that many people prefer colour portraits, especially of their pets.
